Here we go again.
I came to Ile-Ife yesterday. By the way, today is the 4th of July, 2010. Wow! Its my Dad's birthday and yes, I did call him, wished him a happy birthday.

I found out he was in our hometown, Iyamoye in Kogi State. He went to check out his house in Iyamoye. Grandma died some weeks ago and would be buried in some days. He's preparing the place for his guests.
Mama mi, e sun re. Though, I'll acknowledge the fact that I didn't get to relate with her in a very good way. I knew she was a mother (yes to my dad). Every time she came over, I remember her talking down at my mum. It was like she had the upper hand and all but then I guess it was a form of ignorance cos as she got older, it started to show that the relationship has never been cordial between all of us.
One thing I learnt, get close to the mother, you get close to the kids. You act otherwise, you push them away.
