what a day!

today is the 5th day of august, i'm here at ile-ife, in my room. guess what just happened, my laptop fell about a height of 40 to 50cm. I was just so excited that i was going to type this and then i pulled out the laptop pouch from the bag and then, it slipped out. I was quiet....couldnt say anything but aaaaahh silently. it has just happened , my thought running all around and then, i decided to pick it up, saw the battery trying to pull free off the PC but was stuck somehow. I prayed a little prayer, Lord, take charge and then, i put it on, Hmm, the surprise was that nothing happenned to the screen though it fell on the ground on the screen part. I had to drop it lie flat on the floor and say "Thank you". This is just the first part of my story cos it just happened some mins ago(this is 14mins to 6pm). had a great day, asked God for the forgiveness of my sins, had a word from the OPEN HEAVENS and then started up the day, did the normal stuff- wash plates(sorry, it might not be normal sha) we had used the previous night(s). never mind, the S is there because i refused to wash the plates and just kept them till another morning. i then went to read at the reading room, PG Hall(was able to read some stuffs on my project0 and then, went to help folake with the socket thing(still need to find screws or else i'll have to keep doing the thing and i might just endanger her to electrical shocks. It was like a slow day as i went to have my bath at past 12 after ironing a shirt i did not use courtesy the rain that did not allow my inner wears dry up. Went out to the departmental building after this and you know, i was indeed late, the only man(my supervisor) that made me come out was leaving. i decided to carry his bag with hime to his car and then we talked a bit and then he told me to start working on my Literature review that it will help me get started as i'll only need editings to do later on. Yes Sir!

hmm. i walked back not feeling bad but having the next idea of what to do as i had only been working on Chapter 1. Let go! saw mimi at the PG hall, gave her Teejay's convocation book and then, guess who i saw? a former classmate of mine from Badore. Rasheed Gbadamosi. he came to see a lecturer who then sent him to deliver a sweater to a student in PG hall. Hmm. hugged him and then we talked a while. i showed him the room and off i went to give yemisi her cello-tape. omo, no be only cello-tape i go give at last o. as i sit-down for there dey gist on and on. yes, we talked and talked for over 1 hour and i then took my leave. hmm, the girl with the scales on the middle sides of her eyes. Miss hezekiah oluwasanmi(Library lady, she loves to read), funny enough, i no dey go that library.

hmm, like i need to drop this typing. hope you got some of my day.

The Many Walks with Kiity

Ever heard of the benefits of 30 minutes walk everyday?  I bet you have. Walking is a great way to improve or maintain our overall health. Just 30 minutes every make a change in your life. I took a walk for 1 hour once and I felt the effects. It was about 8km in all and I could feel my legs tingling when I finished. The next day, the muscles spoke and I was happy.  Kiity and I enjoy taking lots of walks. We did that a lot in Nigeria both individually and together. I enjoy it more when we do it together. Since we arrived the Netherlands in April this year, we have had several walks and I enjoy it more when we do it together.   Walking over a small bridge, De Poel, Amstelveen I decide to take walks for many reasons;  - To exercise. - To clear my head and away from the familiar - To see the environment and new places. - To breathe a different air. The most important is to talk. This is when I do it with Kiity. We have to talk about something as we go.  W...

An Open Letter to Kunfaiyeoluwa

I would love to draft a long letter to you. But the thoughts and words captured above say a lot that I want you to carry on for the rest of your life.  You indeed have a legacy to cherish and to build on. Your mum, grand-mums and great-grand-mums are one of the strongest and determined persons I have met and I know the seed lives on in you. Yes, I did come to know them all and I see the foundation you have to lean on. You are Royalty both Spiritually and by Land Origin. 1 Pet 2:9 reminds me of your spiritual royalty and the knowledge that you are of the origin of men who have reigned as Kings in Nigeria both in Kogi and Ondo States. Therefore, let the words scribed above by the Queen of the Southern Nigerian Kingdom bring light to you today and for every other day. I was watching a movie during the past weekend and it showcased a Father who stood by his daughter even when the whole community were against her. I would like you to know that I would be by your side from Day 1 t...

Love & More - Act 2

It has been a while we had the movie night. We have some history with movie nights I must say. From the times in Akure, Lagos and now, Amstelveen.  Whenever we watch, it exciting. I enjoyed the action movies and then the love ones. I enjoy all of it anyway cos we watch together. the taking it back so you understand better is not so fun for me sha..me i have moved on in cases like that.....but anyways, i agree with you.......better to understand the context. When did we start watching movies together?   Before we got married I guess. I guess this was in Lagos before I took the job with BEDC. Not sure if we watched any on our own or always with Bukky and Busayo. But anyways..the history was formed. Cinemas. one thing I loved about Igbatoro, Akure was the Filmhouse Cinemas at the Akure Mall.  and then those cozy evening when we did nothing but watch a move together. Do you always stay up when we watch? Now I have to write that you might stay up with the first movie but...
