What a day!

I am here again with the attitude of writing. Here was I yesterday on my own when I suddenly stumbled on the vision - mission thing again.

I was reading my digital electronics when one wonderful person called Michael started asking me questions about my life and what I saw for the future. Little wonder did I know what awaited me in the next 24 hrs. My life started moving at a speed I never thought it would some 40 minutes ago. as I sit on my bed, writing this or rather typing this on my laptop. I have made some moves towards changing from Control and instrumentation option to the Power option.

I have even talked to Dr. Komolafe about this (though he gave me the No response) saying he had gone 50% into the course and was not ready to admit anyone into the course at this point. what fascinated me most was his desire to know more about the GPRS metering idea I wanted to get involved in. I didn't mention I went to his office twice. the first time he told me 'No' and we were done in about 2 minutes. the second time, though he still told me 'No' but we had a lengthy talk in which I got an idea still lingering in my head (Was I supposed to just have a chat with him?...I'll tell you about this later). we talked about the idea, why I had gone to Control and instrumentation and why I now wanted POWER. I told him all, starting with the idea on metering, talking with Dr. Jubril, the Distributed sensor network and every I cud spill out. the talk was a good one, gave me time to reflect on some things but the NO still remained.

I left with some justification in my heart but my question still remained "was that what i was supposed to do?". let me get back to yesterday after the little time with Michael. he asked me questions and I answered , though it sparked up some things that I couldn't control. I prayed and had the same leading I had some 3 weeks back of being in the power industry. though a voice said "EJECT!". How was I to interpret this. I knew I had to leave control and instrumentation but this could not come easy, here was I with all the control books and here was a leading to go to power. I couldn't, then I obliged. ok, I will. I got in contact with fellow power people with ease(they do not stay on campus, None!) and then the flight began.

Here am I with my mini(laptop) and I have this idea of making every housing meter in Nigeria, a GPRS/Bluetooth/WIFI meter where records can be kept in  accordingly with cheating or wrong billing in check.

Your Place, in your place, you are KING.
Your Place, when you are out of your place, you are only tolerated.

I have a focus, though I took this road late ( not at the time it was laid up in my heart) but I've got  the assignment. I only have one thing to do, That is RUN!

I saw a poster somewhere saying "Nigeria is blessed". I say, Nigeria is truly blessed if not because of you, because of me. I hope you can say that to me when we do see.

Till we meet again on What a day!

The Many Walks with Kiity

Ever heard of the benefits of 30 minutes walk everyday?  I bet you have. Walking is a great way to improve or maintain our overall health. Just 30 minutes every make a change in your life. I took a walk for 1 hour once and I felt the effects. It was about 8km in all and I could feel my legs tingling when I finished. The next day, the muscles spoke and I was happy.  Kiity and I enjoy taking lots of walks. We did that a lot in Nigeria both individually and together. I enjoy it more when we do it together. Since we arrived the Netherlands in April this year, we have had several walks and I enjoy it more when we do it together.   Walking over a small bridge, De Poel, Amstelveen I decide to take walks for many reasons;  - To exercise. - To clear my head and away from the familiar - To see the environment and new places. - To breathe a different air. The most important is to talk. This is when I do it with Kiity. We have to talk about something as we go.  W...

An Open Letter to Kunfaiyeoluwa

I would love to draft a long letter to you. But the thoughts and words captured above say a lot that I want you to carry on for the rest of your life.  You indeed have a legacy to cherish and to build on. Your mum, grand-mums and great-grand-mums are one of the strongest and determined persons I have met and I know the seed lives on in you. Yes, I did come to know them all and I see the foundation you have to lean on. You are Royalty both Spiritually and by Land Origin. 1 Pet 2:9 reminds me of your spiritual royalty and the knowledge that you are of the origin of men who have reigned as Kings in Nigeria both in Kogi and Ondo States. Therefore, let the words scribed above by the Queen of the Southern Nigerian Kingdom bring light to you today and for every other day. I was watching a movie during the past weekend and it showcased a Father who stood by his daughter even when the whole community were against her. I would like you to know that I would be by your side from Day 1 t...

Love & More - Act 2

It has been a while we had the movie night. We have some history with movie nights I must say. From the times in Akure, Lagos and now, Amstelveen.  Whenever we watch, it exciting. I enjoyed the action movies and then the love ones. I enjoy all of it anyway cos we watch together. the taking it back so you understand better is not so fun for me sha..me i have moved on in cases like that.....but anyways, i agree with you.......better to understand the context. When did we start watching movies together?   Before we got married I guess. I guess this was in Lagos before I took the job with BEDC. Not sure if we watched any on our own or always with Bukky and Busayo. But anyways..the history was formed. Cinemas. one thing I loved about Igbatoro, Akure was the Filmhouse Cinemas at the Akure Mall.  and then those cozy evening when we did nothing but watch a move together. Do you always stay up when we watch? Now I have to write that you might stay up with the first movie but...
