What a day!

It is different for everyone. For me, leaving would have to do with the culture, management style, internal politics, and my personal strengths for the role.  Have I done this before?  Yes! I left Benin Electricity Distribution Plc for MainOne. I worked with the company for about 4 years (3 years and 6 months). A key reason was the management style and I got to a point where I didn't see any senior role that I looked forward to. I can remember standing by the window of the Regional Head's office at Oba Asida road, looking at the staff as they moved about. My thought was leaving. I could see the Service Managers pass by with some chit-chat amongst themselves - the role didn't interest me. Not even the Business Manager's role, having had a taste of working with all and seating in meetings with both Business Heads and Service Unit head every two weeks.  My thoughts.  Two people (Eyilade & Ekpemi)  I knew went to be with God last year (2022). Before this time, It never hit home on the passing of people. I probably didn't take some minutes like I did on the influence I have had on the lives of the people around me.  My first experience as I remember now was during my primary school at the University of Lagos Staff Primary school, Idi-araba (Annex school). I was told the headmistress of the main school had died and we would attend the event. I did attend and the only sorrowful experience was the song "Rock of Ages".  Rock of Ages, cleft for me, Let me hide myself in thee; Let the water and the blood, From thy wounded side which flowed, Be of sin the double cure; Save from wrath and make me pure.   The song still rings in my head as I type this.
